i feel stupid right now!!.

why??. coz i don't know what TAG [located at the left portion of my blog..]means

so i don't know what to put on it.. yeah. i'm so stupid.. tsk!.can somebody tell me!.

We had trouble following the codes of our math operation program. It focuses on making control arrays and we weren’t aware of it so what was wrong on what we did was we assigned different names to the options that we wanted to make control arrays with. So everytime we tried to run the program we were making, it won’t work. We tried everything,from checking the codes and everything. But we were able to realize are mistakes after some time and we changed the names options into a distinct one. So when you want to make control arrays, remember to make the names of the options the same for each so that you won’t have any trouble afterwards.

creepy bugs??!!..solution..debug!hehe..in visual basic, you will encounter many problems in coding and everything especially when your using it the first time and you still don't master the ways of it and its nature.

Making our own program, "input boxes and messages boxes," we have encountered some bugs and we weren't able to debug it in some time. In our program, we have decided to make menus using the menu editor. We decided to have the option "background" included in our menu but this time we want the background to be pictures instead of just colors. So after we finished making the menu, we tried doing the codes...but unfortunately we didn't know the correct codes to put because it was completely different from having colors as background. So we asked helped to a student-teacher for him to give some example. After giving an example, we (my groupmates), were the one to do it ourselves. We thought everything was okay and that we did the right thing but when we ran the program and clicked the options under the "background," ...."bugs found"..so we did what we needed to do..we checked where the bugs were and we started analyzing what went wrong. We checked if the codes we put were correct just like what was on the example. And we noticed that it was correct, so what is wrong?, we again analyzed it and looked for the error/s. Then after some time, it all came up to us....we noticed that the location of the pictures we put on the codes were incorrect!.we changed it immediately and check if it would work. luckily, it worked so we continued putting codes on the other options under the background menu...then suddenly we encountered another bug and then we tried to solved it again. We noticed that all the other pictures that worked well had a format of .jpg and when we looked on the format of the picture with the bug, it was .png so we concluded that pictures with format .png don't work as background. after all that, we were able to finish the program with cute picture background and we have learned new codes! It was pretty cool!!.


So for those who want pictures on their background, here's the code:

These past days, i had the chance to experience a new thing that i can say caught my interest. This last grading, in our computer subject, we tackled visual basic and at first i can say that it was a a little bit boring because we tackled the terms and everything.., some words that i consider as blur in my thoughts, well.. yes, some terminologies are new to me and maybe because i'm not that good at using the computer. We even had reporting about the visual basic. our group [el cuerpo] got the topic on how to start visual basic and luckily, we were able to get a nice grade..(0_o)..Then the day came where we will be making our own program called Lucky Seven..its a sort of a game where you need to click a button and when the number seven appear to one of the three boxes beside the button, you will see a picture and hear a beep..then you just have to add up some spices like the background and the menu..of course i was really excited because we will make a program that i thought only those in college taking up courses with regard to this could make and undrstand.. at first, we were all confused we werent having any idea on what we were doing..i think we were all asking hazel about what to do next and all the things that was on the instruction, i dont know how she knew about visual basic but she was pretty good..after several days of making the program, my partnersd, gazzel and celine, and i made some improvements and i can tell that i started to get visual basic and i realize that the discussion of the terms and everythong about it before the hands-on really helped us so that it would be much easier for us to use visual basic and the hands-on helped us understand those terms and some controls and their uses more..i really had a good time every time we were making the program, i started to build my interest on it and i was actually having fun and gazzell, celine and i were careering it..hehe.. we also had some nerve racking times because we don't have usb and our computer has this something called "freezer", wherein all the files you saved while you were using the computer will be gone when you turn it off..so everytime its already time, we are freaking out cause we need to save it or else..you know..we have to start all over again!!.that's why we were really happy when we finished the program. we even had picture taking for the "the author" part of the menu in the program. and i almost forgot, we also like to thank the student teacher in the laboratory, especially 'ate' for helping us with the menu editor and the colrs..


i believe this whole lesson will help me in college because i might take up computer science in u.p. where i am waitlisted. and because of this i learned something new in computer and programming and that we too can do programs!!..it was really cool..and i hope we can make more exciting and challenging programs..hehe..it was really fun making my FIRST PROGRAM!!..(o.O)
