These past days, i had the chance to experience a new thing that i can say caught my interest. This last grading, in our computer subject, we tackled visual basic and at first i can say that it was a a little bit boring because we tackled the terms and everything.., some words that i consider as blur in my thoughts, well.. yes, some terminologies are new to me and maybe because i'm not that good at using the computer. We even had reporting about the visual basic. our group [el cuerpo] got the topic on how to start visual basic and luckily, we were able to get a nice grade..(0_o)..Then the day came where we will be making our own program called Lucky Seven..its a sort of a game where you need to click a button and when the number seven appear to one of the three boxes beside the button, you will see a picture and hear a beep..then you just have to add up some spices like the background and the menu..of course i was really excited because we will make a program that i thought only those in college taking up courses with regard to this could make and undrstand.. at first, we were all confused we werent having any idea on what we were doing..i think we were all asking hazel about what to do next and all the things that was on the instruction, i dont know how she knew about visual basic but she was pretty good..after several days of making the program, my partnersd, gazzel and celine, and i made some improvements and i can tell that i started to get visual basic and i realize that the discussion of the terms and everythong about it before the hands-on really helped us so that it would be much easier for us to use visual basic and the hands-on helped us understand those terms and some controls and their uses more..i really had a good time every time we were making the program, i started to build my interest on it and i was actually having fun and gazzell, celine and i were careering it..hehe.. we also had some nerve racking times because we don't have usb and our computer has this something called "freezer", wherein all the files you saved while you were using the computer will be gone when you turn it off..so everytime its already time, we are freaking out cause we need to save it or else..you know..we have to start all over again!!.that's why we were really happy when we finished the program. we even had picture taking for the "the author" part of the menu in the program. and i almost forgot, we also like to thank the student teacher in the laboratory, especially 'ate' for helping us with the menu editor and the colrs..
i believe this whole lesson will help me in college because i might take up computer science in u.p. where i am waitlisted. and because of this i learned something new in computer and programming and that we too can do programs!!..it was really cool..and i hope we can make more exciting and challenging programs..hehe..it was really fun making my FIRST PROGRAM!!..(o.O)
